The RAM website is open to all-comers.
Visitors can make use of our information and services without telling us who they are or supplying personal information. At present access to our services are not restricted by a requirement to register.
We are well aware that the internet provides opportunities to track the movements of visitors to web sites, whether for commercial, security and other purposes.
It is MediaWise policy not to interfere with the freedom and privacy of those visiting our site, nor to provide information about our visitors to third parties. We monitor information on 'hits' to the site but this does not include anything which could identify individual visitors and is solely to assist us in the site's future development.
MediaWise offers a guarantee of confidentiality to clients seeking advice about complaints against the media. MediaWise staff risk instant dismissal for abuse of confidences.
There are plenty of opportunities within the site for visitors to make direct contact with MediaWise. We shall respond as quickly as we can, and may invite enquirers to become subscribing members of MediaWise. However membership is not a precondition of assistance, and we shall respect the wishes of any person wishing us to delete their email address after our initial response to their enquiry.
This privacy policy does not apply to all other sites to which links are provided through this site. MediaWise would advise all web users to check the privacy statements of all sites that they visit, and to seek details of what personal information is collected and with whom it is to be shared.
MediaWise is considering registering with TRUST (or a similar reputable privacy organisation) as a means of guaranteeing to visitors to our site that a reliable external agency is checking that we adhere to our privacy policy.
